RUVA to release single ’S.W.E.A.T’ on October 27th

Ruva is an Australian born singer-songwriter who has been
gracing Australian Stages since high school. With a Zimbabweanheritage her music and voice possess strong R&B, Gospel and Afro Influences. Her latest track S.W.E.A.T was recorded at Melbourne’s Pughouse studios and is a Turreek ProducIon.

An uptempo feel good summer track S.W.E.A.T contains strong rhythmic moIves with an African and Caribbean influence paired with catchy pop hooks. The track has a strong drum and bass driven feel with the use of synths and sound effects to create a current dancehall pop vibe, similar to the likes of a Rihanna or Beyonce track.

While studying at the acclaimed Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School Ruva was the recipient of the ‘Young leaders Jazz Award’, performing at FederaIon Square and Bennets Lane Jazz Club. Soon after her completion of high school she released Her debut EP ‘Riv & The Nu Front’ which reached number 14 on the iTunes R&B charts and was a critical success. Ruva made her musical theatre debut as‘Shenzi' in the Australian Tour of Disney’s ‘The Lion King’. After completing the tour she then went on to perform in Queen and Ben Elton’s ‘We Will Rock You’ and The Production Company’s Dusty. Ruva has headlined shows at many music venues around Melbourne including Dizzy’s jazz club, Bennets Lane, The Toff, Revolver, The Social Club and Cherry bar.

‘BeauIful’ the Carol King musical. Along with the release of
her new single S.W.E.A.T. With a busy year ahead Ruva has
